I am sorry that the blog was changes a little later than usual today- we have been very busy. This is also the reason why I am writing the blog instead of the students today.

The day today was a little different than a regular Friday. Since there were so many teachers out today, and not enough subs, our class did not have humanities with Mrs. Butt today and instead were with me all morning.

The day began with the students working on our daily AM(accelerated math program) and Xtra Math on their computers. We then had a artist from the Esplanade come into our class to teach us about the aspects of art and show us how to make a textured art piece. Each student got to great their own art piece using sharpies and patterns. The class had a lot of fun doing this.

The 4B class had their spelling test after recess with me today. I then gave each student their roles in the play (we are still not sure when our play with take place, so some lines may change). The students then had a chance to read over the play, being the characters they were cast for. They did pretty good considering it was their first read! I have asked the students to start memorizing the play lines, in hopes for them to have them almost all memorized by next Friday.

The last thing our class did today was have our classroom reward that we have been working towards since christmas- Our MUG EXCHANGE. Each student had the chance to pick a mug, and then a chance to trade after their names were chosen from a hat. The class really seemed to enjoy it, and each mug was unique and very fun for the students to get. Thank you to all you parents that provided a mug, it really was a lot of fun!
